Curtis Edward Vess, age 88, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Graveside services will be today at 2 p.m. at Gargis Cemetery. Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family. Officiating is Brother Thomas Thornton.
Mr. Vess was preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Lona Vess, and wife, Alma Vess.
Survivors are son, Rodger Vess (Cindy), of Phil Campbell; daughter, Trish Rutherford (Glenn), of Leighton; brothers, Ray Vess, of Moulton, Harold Vess, of Moulton, Gerald Vess, of Moulton, Dwayne Vess, of Moulton, Tim Vess, of Moulton, Gary Vess, of Phil Campbell, and Donny Vess, of Town Creek; sister, Carolyn Borden, of Town Creek; and six grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Glenn Rutherford, Rodger Vess, Greg Caldwell, Jesse Vess, Dewey Jr. Pace, and Danny Pace.
