Curtis “Earl” Stewart, age 78, of Huntsville, Alabama passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020. Curtis was born January 4, 1942 in Gadsden, Alabama to Ila Mae Turman and Cody Stewart.

Curtis married Mary Inez Pruitt on March 7, 1960 in Houston, Texas and they spent many wonderful years together with the growing family. When Curtis had free time you might find him on a bank holding a fishing pole, getting ready to go hunting, or getting ready for ball season for the grandchildren and great-grandchildren but most likely he would be with family enjoying seeing them grow and hearing the grandchildren call for “Papa Earl”.

Curtis is survived by his wife, Mary Inez Stewart; daughter Pam Stewart; daughter Patsy Fann (Jeff); and son Tony Stewart (Lina); sister Lorraine Strout and brother George Stewart; grandchildren; Amanda Andrews (Jason), Charles Alan Fann (Ashley), Meghan Garcia, and great grandchildren Jacob, Aubrey, and Jianna Andrews, Addilynn Little, Tenley and Benson Fann.

Curtis was a devoted husband of 60 years, a loving Father and Grandfather to his Children, Grandchildren, and adored all of his Great-Grand Children with all of his heart.

He was an inspirational man to many throughout his years as a friend and mentor. Curtis was very blessed and loved by his entire family.

A visitation for Curtis will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Valhalla Funeral Home, with a graveside service at 2:30 PM at Valhalla Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Curtis’s name to the American Heart Association.
