Creola Cottles, passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023, in Winchester, TN, at age 89.Mrs. Cottles was born on November 26, 1934, to the late Carvie and Edna Cline.
She was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher and worked as a custodian. Before working at Decatur Morgan Hospital (and retiring there after almost 30 years), she worked at Limestone Nursing Home. One of her favorite hobbies was gardening.
Visitation will be at McConnell Funeral Home on Monday December 11th, from 12-1pm. A chapel service will begin at 1pm with Bro. Patrick Lawrence officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Cottles is survived by her sister, Mable Boyd; grandchildren, Lacrecia Hagood (Matthew) and Aaron Cottles (Leslie); great-grandchildren: Ethan, Lily and Natalie Hagood, and Caleb Cottles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceding her in death are her husband of 67 years, Delbert Cottles; her parents; brothers, Edward “Buddy” Cline and Harvey “Wendall” Cline; and sister, Edna “Feely” Brewer.
