FLORENCE-Cramer Children’s Center is proud to announce the selection of its inaugural Cramer’s Young
Advisory Circle (CYAC), a new volunteer leadership group composed of young professionals
from across northwest Alabama who are passionate about helping children heal from abuse and
trauma.

These 20 members come from diverse personal and professional backgrounds, bringing
experience in philanthropy, marketing, fundraising, children’s advocacy, law, finance, and more.
Together, they will serve as ambassadors for Cramer Children’s Center, helping to raise funds,
plan community events, and advocate for the Center’s mission throughout northwest Alabama.

As part of their primary role, members of the CYAC will plan an annual fundraising event. They
will also represent Cramer Children’s Center at community functions and work alongside staff to
share the message of hope, healing, and protection for children.

The group will hold its first meeting on October 21, marking the start of a new initiative aimed at
strengthening community support and building the next generation of advocates for children.

“Having a Young Advisory Circle allows us to bring new voices, fresh ideas, and community
connections to our work,” said Kim Bevis, Executive Director of Cramer Children’s Center.
“There are other child advocacy centers across the state that have similar groups, and we’re
thrilled to replicate that model here in our community. These members will play a vital role in
helping us fundraise, expand awareness, and support for the children we serve.”

Chelsea Lawson, Business Development Director and liaison for the CYAC, added, “I’m so
excited to work with this incredible group of young professionals. They each bring something
unique to the table, and their energy, creativity, and passion for helping kids will make a lasting
difference in our mission. I can already tell this is going to be a special group.”

By engaging young leaders, Cramer Children’s Center hopes to build stronger bridges between
generations of advocates united by a single goal: protecting children and helping them heal.
