Craig Alan Clayton – Obituary

Craig Alan Clayton, 51, died Thursday, June 28, 2018, at the North Mississippi Medical Center Hospice Unit. He was born January 21, 1967, to L.Q. and Syble Sparks Clayton. He worked for 28 years as a diesel mechanic at John Deere Equipment in Tupelo. He loved working on tractors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his children.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 30, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. David Holcomb officiating. Jonathan Tate will deliver the eulogy. Burial will be in Keyes Cemetery.

Survivors include his children, Abby Clayton of Tupelo and Brody Clayton and Chloe Clayton, both of Iuka; his mother, Syble Clayton of Belmont; two sisters, Jan Clayton of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Susan Parr (David) of Starkville; four nieces, Kayla Clayton, Layla Clayton, Lauraleigh Parr, and Lilah Parr; one nephew, Dakota Clayton; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his father, L.Q. Clayton, and one brother, Andy Clayton.

Pallbearers will be Eric Thorn, Michael Shumpert, Larry Moore, Steve Moore, Jayson Comer, Jay Shumpert, Donnie Myers, and Jonathan Tate.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Thorn, Ken Spradling, and Tim Mayhan.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
