TUSCUMBIA-On November 21st at 2:30 pm, the Hall of Fame will host an unveiling for the hit country group, Heartland.
Gold record country group Heartland is being honored with a showcase in the Hall of Fame. Heartland is best known for their hit song, ‘I Loved Her First,’ released in 2006. The song was penned by renowned songwriter and Hall of Fame Honoree Walt Aldridge. The massive success of this release propelled the group into recognition in the world of country music, bringing them other honors such as hosting the CMA Awards, receiving two CMA Award nominations, and achieving over 500,000 sold for their hit song. This was also followed by dozens of nationally televised performances, as well as appearances at large festivals around the country.
“I’m very excited to host this unveiling for the group. They’ve had a very interesting career, and will undoubtedly have some great stories to tell at this event,” said Dixie Griffin, manager of the Hall of Fame.
After brief introductory remarks, and the unveiling, members and associates of the group will have opportunities to share stories and memories about the band. This will be followed by a Q&A.
The opening remarks will begin at 2:30 pm, and the Q&A is expected to be over at 4:30 pm. This event will be free to the public.
