Cora Bell Davis Duncan, peacefully ascended to heaven on December 10, 2023, at the age of 74. Cora passed away at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, surrounded by the love and warmth of her children, sisters, and extended family. Her departure leaves a void, but her memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those who knew and cherished her.
Cora was a woman of unwavering faith and a dedicated member of the Baltimore Avenue Church of God. Her spiritual journey was a source of strength and inspiration for all who were fortunate enough to share in her company. In her moments of leisure, Cora found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly fishing.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving children, David Duncan (Stacey Duncan) and Rita Martin (Steve); her siblings, Gary Davis, Sandy Hodges, Faye Phillips, and Marty Davis; and her adored grandchildren, Derek Bragg, Marissa Bragg, Josh Gunther, Chris Gunther, Matt Gunther, Katie Gunther, and Jabe Duncan. Their presence brought immeasurable joy and laughter to Cora’s days, forming a tapestry of love and warmth that will endure.
Cora was preceded in death by her parents, George and Millie Davis; her beloved husband, David Leon Duncan; her sisters, Alice Sansing and Carolyn Redmond; and her brother, Cecil Davis. The reunion with these departed loved ones brings solace to the hearts of those left behind, knowing that Cora is surrounded by the company of cherished souls.
A celebration of Cora’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Adams Brown Funeral Home in Albertville, with Bro. Morrell Upchurch officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:30 prior to the service at the funeral home. The final resting place will be at Memory Hill Cemetery in Albertville, Alabama
