Cora Barbara Pitt, 87, passed away on October 10, 2016. She was born on January 20, 1929 to the late William and Elsie Pitt. Ms. Pitt was preceded in death by her parents, brother Seth Pitt; sisters Mary Curry and Dorothy Pruitt. Survivors include her nephews Robert Curry, Bill Curry, David Pruitt and niece Beverly Davis, as well as a host of great nieces and great nephews. She is also survived by her Grace Episcopal Church family, along with her adopted family, The Thomason’s. Funeral services will be Saturday October 15, 2016 at Grace Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Father Jamie McAdams will officiate. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Grace Episcopal Church Memorial fund or Camp McDowell Chapel Fund.
