Funeral service for age 78 of Eva will be Friday, December 27, 2013 at 3:00pm at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Oden Ridge Cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 6:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
Ms. Akers, who died on Monday, December 23, 2013 at Decatur Morgan Hospital, was born on February 13, 1935 in Morgan County to Jim Montgomery and Janie Patton Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Estill Akers.
She is survived by six sons; Eddie Akers of Decatur, Estill Akers of Ocee,Florida, Samuel Akers of Decatur, Kenneth Akers, Leroy Akers and Isaiah Akers all of Eva, two daughters; Cynthia Topash of Niles, Michigan and Anita Suszylo of Decatur, one sister; Linda Owens of Florida. Seven Grandchildren and Twelve Great-Grandchildren.
