Connie Marie Cothren, 65 of Athens, Alabama died on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at her home.
Born Tuesday, December 4, 1951 in Fayetteville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Floyd Leslie Cothren and the late Clara Mae Eakes Cothren. She was a member of Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to sew and quilt. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister: Martha Reyer, four brothers: Leslie Cothren, Ronnie Cothren, Don Cothren, and Stanley Cothren, and a Granddaughter Kyara Burns.
Surviving are son, Ronald (Kim) Beverly of Athens, AL, daughter, Angela Carden of Athens, AL, sisters, Janice Sanders of Hazel Green, AL, Barbara Cothren of Hazel Green, AL, Evelyn (Bill) Peters of West Palm Beach, FL,Pam (Mike) Moore of Harvest, AL and Sheila (Perry) Wilbourn of Elkmont, AL, 4 Grandchildren; April Henson of Huntsville, AL., Samantha Henson of Huntsville AL, Kayla Burns of Toney, AL, and Nick Beverly of Belleville, TN,
and 2 Great Grandchildren .
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Rusty Lincoln officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery, Ardmore, AL.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Friendship Stateline Freewill Baptist Church, Taft, Tennessee.
