Mrs. Connie Lou Morton Galloway, 76, of Woodland Homes, Lexington, passed away late Thursday evening, October 3, 2024, in Jackson, TN. Ms. Connie was born November 14, 1947. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Code Mae and Maude Watson Morton, her husband, Mr. Dale Galloway, and brothers Guyron (Guy) Morton and Elmo Morton.
Ms. Connie spent years of her life as a caregiver, providing care for families’ loved ones who were no longer able to care for themselves. She was an active reader, always having her Bible and other books at hand. She loved history, and her retention of what she read was amazing.
Her friends list was long in Henderson County
and all surrounding counties. She always had a joke or riddle for you.
Ms. Connie was also a planner. In 2016, knowing her time would come someday, she planned and pre-arranged her funeral, including her obituary.
She is now in God’s hands, which she also planned for.
Funeral services are with Pafford Funeral Home, Lexington. Visitation is planned for Sunday evening from 4:00-8:00 PM, and Monday morning from 9:00-11:00 AM, with the funeral to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, where she was an active member.
