Cherokee-Come Home for Christmas to Cherokee Saturday, December 1, 2012. All the festivities will be in Downtown Cherokee starting at 9 am with breakfast with Santa at the Lions Den…remember donations will be accepted but the breakfast is free. From 9 am until 1 pm there will be Arts and Crafts and Authors at Bozeman garage across from city hall. Starting at 10 am and–until 1 pm there will be live performances on the square under the Christmas Tree. There will be pony rides or Carriage rides for $10.00. Have your picture made by Tallie & Dawn Murphy Photography. Also there will be a large scree TV in the Lions Den for all the sports fans attending the Christmas Festival.
Make sure and tour all the newly decorated buildings and businesses from Highway 72 to the downtown, including Malone’s Store, Mefford’s Helping Hands Thrift Shop, The Presbyterian Church near where the parade will start.

At 11 am the TEC hotdog/chili lunch will start at the CBS banks$5.00 benefits Relay for Life. There will be plenty of food at the vendor location. The Christmas Parade will top off the day of fun beginning at 2 pm from CES to downtown Cherokee, Grand Marshals Bobby Denton and Howard Keeton with Honorees: Bud and Eloise Mills, Wilodean Malone and of course… Santa! At 3 pm there will be a welcome and greetings at the square under the Christmas Tree by Mayor Terry Cosby after which there will be a Reading of the Christmas Story with Freda S. Daily.
From 3 until 5 pm there will be refreshments at the Cherokee Methodist Church (Everyone please bring finger food desserts to share.)
And the lighting of the town Christmas Tree will be at 5 pm. This event is sponsored by CCCA for Cherokee Beautification.
