Columbus Walton Stroud, age 89 of Winchester, TN passed away peacefully at his home on August 22, 2022. A native of Alabama, Mr. Stroud was born on September 29, 1932, to the late Clarence E and Sara Gertrude Sublet Stroud. He was a graduate of Auburn University, and served his country in the Army, achieving the rank of Sargent Technical. CW was an Engineer for NASA for 31 years, working on the Apollo and Space Shuttle programs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Shelva Jean Blevins Stroud, son, Phillip Blevins Stroud, and sister, Suzanne Hall. He is survived by his son, Gregory Walton Stroud. A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Winchester.
