Colton Taylor Barnett, 20, of Madison, passed away Thursday. Colton was a native of Huntsville and a resident of Madison County since 2011. He was a big Alabama football fan and enjoyed frisbee golf and skateboarding. Colton was preceded in death by his grandfather, Patrick Riley. Survivors include his father and stepmother, Clayton H. and Julie Spurgeon Barnett; mother and stepfather, Kasey R. and Jonathan Long; paternal grandparents, Robert E. and Brenda G. Barnett; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Jan Ray and Brian Ray; four stepbrothers: Allen Burgess, Brandon Burgess, Charleton Burgess, and Dylan Burgess; uncles and aunts: Bob Barnett, Cindy Phillips (Wade) , Lei Ann and Adam Smith, Jeff and Michele Ray, Lindsey and Kristie Ray; cousins: Will Riley, Riley Smith, Adaley Smith, Chris Phillips (Morgan), Haley Phillips (Josh), Jaxun Phillips, and Emalyn Phillips; great-uncle, Gary Barnett (Kenna); and great-aunt, Sandy Taylor Menner (Ken).
The family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home followed by a 6:00 p.m. memorial service.
