ATHENS – Athens State University’s College of Education Educational Technology Minor course, Issues and Trends in Educational Technology (ED408), is featured in the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) book, The Global Educator: Leveraging Technology for Collaborative Learning & Teaching by Julie Lindsay.
Instructor Janice Newlin and her ED 408 students were selected as one of the case studies that included educators and education leaders in the United States and throughout the world who are forging connections across the globe, embedding these practices into current curriculum objectives, and providing their students with invaluable educational experiences.
While taking Issues and Trends in Educational Technology, pre-service teachers gain a better understanding of what it means to be a global educator, to explore the pedagogy of collaboration, and to learn how to design and manage their own global projects for successful curriculum integration in their future classroom.
The book will be available on July 19 in the United States at most bookstores or at Amazon.com. The book can also be ordered through the ISTE website at www.ISTE.org.
