Mrs. Colleen George Crafton, 84, of Florence, passed away on August 11, 2016 at her residence. She graduated from Riverview High School in Decatur, Alabama and from Florence State University and the University of North Alabama both located in Florence, Alabama. She retired as a teacher where she taught at Cloverdale, Central, Underwood and Brooks. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. in Greenview Memorial Chapel with the Reverend Chris Underwood officiating. Burial will follow in Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph E. Crafton, Sr., parents, Fred George, Sr. and Maymie Palmer George; son, George Michael Crafton and brother, Fred George, Jr.
Survivors include her son, Ralph Crafton, Jr. (Sherry); daughter-in-law, Belva Crafton; brother, Don George; grandchildren, Alan and Laura Crafton; special nieces, Anita Pullen and Deborah Parrish.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gregory Parrish, Beau Rogers, Dustin Parrish, Bruce Cox, Ronnie Parrish, Clifton Pullen and Daniel McClendon.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Highland Baptist Churches, Honduras Mission Fund.
