Coleman L. Barnett, 67, of Lexington died Thursday, November 15, 2012, after an extended illness.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Elkins East Chapel 6-8 PM. Funeral services will be Sunday, November 18, 2012, 2 PM at Elkins East Chapel, with Bro. Greg Dial officiating. Burial will be at Center Hill Cemetery.
Bro. Barnett was a minister for several Churches of Christ for 40 years. He served our country in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era. He retired from Reynolds Metals as a Lab Tech. He was also an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Football Fan.
Bro. Barnett was preceded in death by his parents Coleman L. and Evelyn May Taylor Barnett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years Linda Nix Barnett; daughter Tammy Akins; son Barry Barnett; grandchildren Chantry Barnett and Aaron Akins; two sisters Evelyn Barnett and Patricia Goodman (Faron); four brothers Johnny Barnett (Elaine), Darrell Barnett (Debbie), Donald Barnett, and Charles Barnett (Patty).
