TUSCUMBIA-The National Sheriff’s Institute (NSI) is proud to announce that Colbert County Sheriff, FRANK WILLIAMSON, has completed the 107th Session of National Sheriff’s Institute which was held in Aurora, Colorado, April 12-17, 2015.
Sheriff Williamson is the only sheriff from Colbert County to ever graduate from the NSI.
The NSI is the only national executive development program designed for sheriffs in the United States. This no-cost program is co-sponsored by the National Institute of Corrections and the National Sheriff’s Association (NSA).
Sheriff Williamson joined 27 other sheriffs from across the country for training on contemporary challenges facing America’s sheriffs today. In light of those challenges, they explored the role of the local sheriff in providing effective leadership for the public good in such areas as public safety, criminal justice policy, community relations, and organizational efficiency.
Fred G. Wilson, NSA Director of Operations, said, “Sheriff Williamson is a leader with vision for the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office. It is an honor to have Sheriff Williamson join the more than 2,500 graduates of the NSI since 1973.”
We congratulate Sheriff Frank Williamson on this accomplishment and look forward to his leadership in the future.
