Colbert County Landmarks Foundation Meeting Set For February 21

anoccurenceatowlcreekbridge-no-logoTUSCUMBIA-The Colbert County Historical Landmarks Foundation will hold its quarterly meeting on Sunday, February 21, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., at the Helen Keller Public Library on Main St. in Tuscumbia.

Program speaker will be Dr. Robert D. England, retired History Professor at Northwest Shoals Community College.
He will present a power point presentation on “Ambrose Bierce and The Shoals”. He will also discuss the short story book titled “An Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge”. Dr. England believes that this story written about a fictionalized event of the Civil War, occurred at a local spot in the Shoals area.
