“DRUG BUST: COLBERT COUNTY
On the evening of Wednesday, June 8th, 2022, agents of the Colbert County Drug Task Force worked a search warrant along with:
Colbert County Sheriff’s Office
Muscle Shoals P.D.
Madison County Narcotics Unit
D.E.A. (Drug Enforcement Administration)
A.L.E.A. (Alabama Law Enforcement Agency)
Russellville P.D.
The search warrant was worked at 2219 East 6th Street, Muscle Shoals, AL. which is in Colbert County. This was the home of Victor Hernandez Garcia. In the drug bust that occurred, 22 pounds of uncut cocaine and almost 2 lbs of Methamphetamine were confiscated. Along with scales, plastic baggies, guns and $29,601.00
The street value of 22 pounds of UNCUT cocaine is over $375,000. However, once it is cut with another compound to make it go further for re-sale that amount can be sold on the streets for approximately 1.5 million dollars. ($1,500,000.00)
Victor Hernandez Garcia was transported and booked into the Colbert County Jail on charges of Drug Trafficking with a $50,000 bond. This is still an ongoing investigation between both local and Federal agents. ICE has a federal hold detainer on this subject as well. I want to say that we greatly appreciate the massive effort of all agencies listed above that assisted in this effort. Cases like this are why it is so important to have a good working relationship with our neighboring communities and law enforcement agencies. Working together we can accomplish GREAT THINGS.”
