During the course of the arrest, approximately 10 grams of a substance believed to be crack cocaine were located , along with approximately $660.00 in cash. The substances and cash were seized as evidence.
COLBERT COUNTY-On Monday, March 24, 2025, Shift B of the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Tavaris Earl King due to suspected traffic violations.

Upon identification, it was discovered that King had multiple outstanding warrants from several surrounding counties. During the stop, King attempted to flee from law enforcement, but after a short distance, the vehicle was successfully stopped, and King was taken into custody without further incident.
