Clyde William Riddle, Sr., age 84, passed away at his home in Muscle Shoals on May 15th. Born in Naples, Texas, he lived in the Shoals area for over 65 years. He was the owner of Nitrate City Garage from 1955 to 1972, was a member of Machinist Local #65 in Sheffield and retired from TVA in 1988.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Elladee Riddle; daughters, Veda Moland (Larry), Jeanne Gray (Larry), Jeannette Hennessee, Wilma Trousdale (Donnie), and Wanda Wiley; son, Clyde William Riddle, Jr. (Lynda); grandchildren, Priscilla Hennessee Landtroop (Chris), Joseph Hennessee, Michael Shane Gray (Rachel), Christopher Gray, Angela Moland Wiggins (Tom), Chad Trousdale, Leif Trousdale (Colleen), DeElla Wiley, Amos Wiley, Jordan Ray Riddle (Mackenzie), Clyde William Riddle III, Brittney Riddle; great-grandchildren. Mandalin Hennessee, Sharon Jeffries, Mackenzie Jeffries, Caleb Jeffries, Lily Gray, Nathan Gray, London Landtroop, Wyatt Landtroop, and Kyler Riddle; brother, Kenneth West; and sisters, Barbara Handback, Juanita Kidd, and Carolyn Bevis.
He was preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Green Riddle and mother, Delilah Riddle West.
The funeral service will be today at 11 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with burial immediately following at New Brick Presbyterian Cemetery, Muscle Shoals. The ceremony will be officiated by Sam Wallace, and the pallbearers will be the grandsons.
