Clyde Thomas Rushing, aka “Tommy,” “Bubba,” or “Beebo,” of Cumberland, Mississippi, died on September 27, 2024 at his residence. He was 66 years old. He enjoyed visiting with friends, collecting coins, and antiquing. Tommy was born February 3, 1958, in Drew, Mississippi to the late Clytee and Maxine Breland Rushing. He was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church in Maben. He worked for Palodin Geo-Physical and Seismographic Company in Texas, Rosehill Furniture Manufacturing in Okolona, Mississippi, Pepsi in Tupelo, Coca Cola in Tupelo, and Artex Textile in West Point.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at Spring Valley Cemetery on the corner of Cemetery Rd. and County Road 141 in Mathiston, Mississippi, with Rev. Shane Davis officiating. Visitation will be held at the cemetery one hour prior to the service. Holland Funeral Directors is honored to serve their friends.

Tommy is survived by a sister, Rita McClain of Nettleton, MS; a nephew, Cody McClain and his wife, Faith, of Nettleton; two great nephews, Jared and Tristan McClain of Nettleton; and his favorite uncle, Charles Breland, of Clermont, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clytee and Maxine Breland Rushing; his sister, Margie Wilson; his brother, William Travis “Bill” Rushing; his nephew, Dale Wilson; and his grandparents, Lester and Dorothy Rushing, and Tom and Nellie Breland.
