Clyde Dennis Hearn passed away on October 8, 2023, as Clyde Dennis Hearn, known for his career as a mower repairman with Pontiac, passed away at the age of 75. He was born on August 8, 1948, in Union County, Mississippi. Clyde was a cherished member of his family and had an impressive network of friends who valued his kindness and generosity.
Clyde’s dedication to his work as a mower repairman was second to none. He spent many years tirelessly serving the community by keeping their lawnmowers in top-notch condition. His expertise and commitment garnered him great respect and admiration from those he served. Clyde’s skills were unmatched, and he always went above and beyond to ensure the satisfaction of his customers. His passion for his profession shone through in every task he undertook.
Outside of work, Clyde had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought him joy throughout his life. A passionate collector, he enjoyed gathering coins and exploring different areas with his trusty metal detector. These pursuits allowed him to cherish both historical artifacts and moments spent outdoors. Additionally, Clyde found solace and contentment in caring for his yard—meticulously mowing it to perfection. It was evident that he had an unparalleled love for nature and took pride in tending to his surroundings.
The legacy left behind by Clyde Dennis Hearn extends far beyond his professional accomplishments and hobbies—he was truly a remarkable individual. A man of unwavering values and integrity, Clyde will forever be remembered as someone who prioritized the well-being of others above all else. His warm smile and genuine compassion touched the lives of many.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Jessie Faye Hearn, and father, Martin Luther Hearn, brothers Henry Clark Hearn sr and Benn Allen, Clyde’s niece, Wendy Wilder, nephew Henry Clark Jr shared a special bond with him that will always be cherished.
Although the departure of Clyde Dennis Hearn leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him best, he is survived by his niece Michelle Lynn Havers (Thomas), his nephew James Dalton Hearn, and nephew Dennis Allen Hearn. Additionally, he leaves behind great-nephews Jeffrey Hearn, Chris Hearn, Jeffrey Lewis, Forrest Hearn, and great-niece Lilly Reed. Each of these individuals holds fond memories of their time spent with Clyde and will forever be grateful for the impact he had on their lives. He also leaves behind a host of great-great nieces and nephews.
To honor the life and memory of Clyde Dennis Hearn, a visitation will take place on October 11th, 2023. It will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Glenfield Funeral Home located at 101 N. Denton Road in New Albany, Mississippi. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will be conducted on October 12th at Glenfield Funeral Home from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. Bro. David Bishop will be officiating the services. Interment will take place in Enterprise Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Hulsey, Shannon Young, Naaman Young, Chris Bishop, David Blackard and James Royce Grose. Honary pallbearers will be Danny Hillhouse and Kevin Parish.
