Clinton Ellis Barnes, age 71, of Guin, Alabama, in the Twin Community, passed away on Saturday, February 7th, 2015, at his residence.
Visitation, 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 9th, 2015, at the Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church. Funeral service, 11:00 a.m., following visitation, at the church. Burial in the Mt. Olive FWB Cemetery. Bro. Mike Beckon and Bro. Ashley Culp officiating.
Mr. Barnes was born March 8, 1943 to the late Purvy Ashmore Barnes and Audie Letecia Green Barnes. Mr. Barnes was a resident of Guin for most of his life, a member of Mt. Olive Freewill Baptist Church, and was retired from Continental Conveyor after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years and 10 months, Mrs. Imogene Rich Barnes of Twin, AL.; 1 daughter, Teresa (Allen) Hendrix, of Twin, AL.; 2 sons, Doug (Ann) Barnes, of Twin, AL.; and David (Deloris) Barnes, of Sulligent, AL; 7 grandchildren, Holly Hendrix, Dillon Barnes, Courtney Barnes, Hunter Barnes, Brittney Barnes, Justin Hendrix, and Garrett Barnes; 1 sister, Faye (Paul) Hunsinger; and 4 brothers, Clayton (Linda) Barnes, Roy Harold Barnes, Freddy Barnes, and Eugene (Sue) Barnes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Purvy Ashmore Barnes and Audie Letecia Green Barnes; 2 brothers, Walter Barnes and Wyman Barnes; and 1 granddaughter, Heather Hendrix.
