Clinton “Buck” Roberson, 83 of Lacey’s Spring passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at his residence. Buck was born March 16, 1940 in Albertville the son of Ernest Roberson and Ruie Sherrell Roberson. After graduating high school, he served in the U.S. Air Force before beginning his career at the U.S. Army Missile Intelligence Agency, Redstone Arsenal. After retiring he was employed by SPARTA. His loyalty and generosity is well known among his friends and family whom he loved very much; he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife: Rachel Remer Roberson; son: Dion Roberson; granddaughter: Kelley Roberson; sister: Phyllis Fohner; host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest and Ruie Roberson, brothers: Arnold Roberson, Cecil Roberson, Wilburn Roberson, Glenn Roberson, Wendell Roberson and Haden Roberson; sisters: Nellie Crabtree, Shirley Thomas and Thelma Roberson.
Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2023, at Gober Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday.
