Clifford Watkins, “Tip”, Keeton, age 91, of Florence, passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017. Visitation will be Monday, June 5th from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home of Florence. The service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother Randy Burbank officiating. Interment will be at Tri-Cities Memorial Gardens. Eulogy will be prepared and delivered by his brother-in-law, Ronnie Flippo.

Pallbearers will be Richard Keeton, Randy Keeton, Bruce Keeton, Harry Austin, Kyle Keeton, Kevin Keeton, Josh Rhodes, and Wes McLemore. Honorary pallbearers will be J.T. McLemore and Robert Hall.

Mr. Keeton was born Nov. 12, 1925, in Florence, Alabama. He was a member of Weeden Heights United Methodist church. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during World War II, worked at Tennessee Valley Authority, and retired from Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Flippo Keeton; daughter-in-law, Martha Reeder Keeton; parents, Ellie and Nellie Keeton; sisters, Daisy Mae Haeger, Nadine Cofield, and June Stowe; brothers, Dudley, Bill, and Jack Keeton.

Survivors include his sons, Richard Keeton (Barbara), Randy Keeton, Bruce Keeton (Cherry); daughters, Sherry McLemore (J.T.), Lisa Hall (Robert); 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy Swinea; in-laws, Ronnie Flippo (Faye), Marajuan Allen, Carolyn Whitten, and Charles Flippo (Martha).
