Clifford Ray Adams Jr. from Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born February 18, 1948, Cliff Adams was a beloved husband, father of two children, and grandfather of six. His family brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment with them. He was a compassionate, generous, humble, and thoughtful man. He was an avid golfer, loved sailing, fishing, Christmas lights, Jimmy Buffett, Willie Nelson, and bread pudding. He was a man of great faith, living an adventurous life full of laughter and smiles.
Cliff grew up in Paducah, Kentucky graduated Paducah, Tilghman High School. He graduated the University of Kentucky in 1971 with a degree in chemical engineering and an MBA from Murray State University.
He was the former chairman of Daikin America Inc., a former associate officer on the board of Daikin Industries, Japan, and was presently serving as an advisor. He attended First United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Maxene Adams and his brother James Adams.
He is survived by the love of his life of 55 years, Sharon, son Jeff (Trish) Adams, Morristown, Tennessee, daughter Christy (Kirk) Sanders, Decatur, Alabama, six grandchildren Julia Adams, Isaac Adams, Trey Sanders, Oliver Adams, Sarah Sanders, Wesley Adams, sister Phyllis (John) Walker, brother-in-law Joe (Tina) Bianca, and four nephews.
Visitation will be at 12:00 p.m., with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m. on November 27 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
