Cletus Dempsey “Skeet” Young, age 77, of Waterloo, died Monday, November 10, 2014. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Central Heights. His funeral service will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Larry Burbank and J.C. Young officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Mr. Young was a native of Waterloo and was a heavy equipment operator. He was baptized in Christ three years ago and was preceded in death by his wife, Eva Jean Wood Young; sister, Shirley Young; and parents, Bill and Audrey Young.
Survivors include his sons, Donnie Young (Jean) and Travis Young (Deena); daughter, Betty Gilchrist (Steven); brother, Roland Young; sisters, Bonnie Bevis and Jewell Scott both of Waterloo and Barbara Sue Martin of Collinwood, TN; grandchildren, Shana Rhodes, Ryan Young, Brianna Young, Tyler Young, Kaylee Young and Kenny Gilchrist; and six great grandchildren, Abby Rhodes, Christen, Tristen, Austin, Zowie and Kylie Young.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
