Cleta Odelle Nanney Dulaney, 96, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at her home in Mantachie. She was born September 14, 1919, in Mantachie, to Ren F. and Edna Loden Nanney. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mantachie , where she joined in 1940. She was a retired school teacher after more than 34 years, teaching at Auburn, Mantachie, Mooreville, and Plantersville schools. She organized the Eastern Star in Fulton where she served as Worthy Matron in Fulton and Tupelo. She was avid and accomplished at sewing.
Services will be at 11:00 a. m. Friday at the First Baptist Church of Mantachie with Dr. John Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Mantachie cemetery. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include her husband of 76 years, O.R. Dulaney; one sister, Costelle Morrow, both of Mantachie; several nephews.
She was preceded in death by one son, Paul Ray Dulaney; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Deacons of First Baptist Church of Mantachie.
Visitation will be from 5:00 -8:00 p.m. Thursdayat McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie and from 10:00 a. m. until service time on Friday at First Baptist Church of Mantachie.
