Cleta A. BouldinMrs. Cleta A. Bouldin, 84, of McMinnville, Tennessee was born on March 22, 1940 and passed away Thursday, September 05, 2024. She was a member of First Baptist Church and worked as an Administrative Assistant with the Warren County School System for 38 years. Preceding her in death were her parents Arzie Melvin Delong and Mattie Cleo Hitchcock Delong, and her sisters Mevolyn Haston and Genevieve Bouldin. Cleta’s motto in life was “I love you, and I can’t help it.”  She enjoyed singing, growing flowers, gardening, and cooking. She never met a stranger and she was always telling those she loved “Be Sweet.” She adored and was devoted to her grandkids, great grandkids, and her beloved dog, Cash. There are friends. There are old and true friends. Then, there is Cleta.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years Carl E. Bouldin, sons Dwight (Jamie) Bouldin, Darryl Bouldin, siblings Lambert (Carol) Delong, Glenda (Willis) Hale, and Charles (Carolyn) Delong, grandchildren Courtney (Jeff) Chisam, Haley (Matt) Nelson, Duston Scott, Hope (Cody) Woodcock, and Brooke (Charlie) Biles, and great grandchildren Brynlee Chisam, Brody Chisam, Nash Nelson, Nox Nelson, Addie Scott, Sterling Scott, Harrison Scott, Aubree Ann Woodcock, Carson Woodcock, Kinsley Jones, Clayton Biles, and Ayla Biles. Many nieces, nephews, and family friends also survive.

Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 09, 2024, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bo Hendrix and Dr. Jeff Owens officiating. Interment will follow at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County. The family of Cleta Bouldin will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at McMinnville Funeral Home.

 

Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Heart Association.
