Cleo Finn Kelly – Obituary

Mrs. Cleo Finn Kelly, 91, went home to be with her heavenly Father, Tuesday, January 17, 2017. She was born August 31, 1925 in Chickasaw Co., MS to Nolan and Era Jolly Finn. Cleo was a devoted wife who enjoyed being a homemaker. During her younger years, she worked alongside her husband and children dairy farming. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her coconut cakes and fried pies. Cleo was a faithful member of Okolona First Baptist Church. She loved her church family and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
A celebration of her life and home-going will be at 2 PM, Friday, January 20, 2017 in the Okolona Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with Dr. Randy Lewman officiating. Private burial will follow at Boones Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be today (Thurs.) from 4 PM to 6 PM and Friday from noon to service time at the funeral home. Survivors include her children, David Kelly (Rebekah) of Egypt community and Virginia Upton (Douglas) of Okolona; granddaughter, Kelly McCollum (John) of Okolona; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and her church family and many friends, including a special friend, Mary Scruggs of Okolona. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Claude Kelly who died in 1978; brother, Dennis Finn and sister, Mavis Wood; extended family member, Franklin Sullivan.
Pallbearers will be Larry Gann, Honorable Judge John Gregory, Mike Sullivan, Jackie Moore, Morris Perry, Mark Perry, and Jim Ellis.
