Clemmie D. Morse, 91, died Monday, October 7, 2013, at the Sumner County Regional Medical Center in Gallatin, Tenn. She was born August 12, 1922, in Alabama to Troy and Rose Porter Todd. She was a farmer and gardener in Itawamba County most of her life. In her later years, she enjoyed doing word find puzzles, watching Western movies, spending time with her family, and listening to country music. She will be greatly missed.
Services will be at 1 p. m. Wednesday, October 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Danny L. Osbourne officiating. Burial will be in the Keyes Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Michelle Hardin Clifton (Harvey) of Mantachie; one brother, Kenneth Todd (Peggy) of Merced, CA; three sisters, Lura McAnally of Sommerville, TN, Laverne Weik of San Antonio, TX, and Rose Moody of Boise, ID; two grandchildren, Tiffany Michelle Pettigo and Corey Lee Hardin, both of Tupelo; and two great-grandchildren, LeAnna Grace Pettigo and Annalea Tiffany Pettigo, both of Tupelo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest F. Morse, who died January 16, 1998; two sisters, Leatrice Atkins and Luna Cashen; two brothers, Harold Todd and Harlan Todd; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Casey Clayton, Jerry Fields, Harvey Clifton, Jr., and Artellis Clifton.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
