Clayton MontgomeryClayton Montgomery, 77, of Athens, passed away on Thursday, June 10th, 2021, at his residence. Mr. Montgomery was born on May 25th, 1944 to Robert Lee Montgomery and Mae Towe Montgomery.

Mr. Montgomery is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Judy Montgomery of Athens, AL; son Tim Montgomery (Patricia) of Athens, AL; grandchildren Keith Montgomery (Melissa) of Athens, AL, and Rachel Bigelow (Brian) of Athens, AL; great-grandchildren Katie Looney (Colby), Andrew Powers, Makenna Montgomery, Deacon Montgomery, and Cash Bigelow; great-great-grandchild Stella Ann Looney; step-grandchildren Jacob Smith and Charles Smith; brothers Edward Montgomery (Lorene), and Kenneth Montgomery (Joanie); and several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister Janice Riddle; brothers Wendell Montgomery, Buford Montgomery, and Dewey Montgomery.

Funeral services for Mr. Montgomery will be Monday, June 14th, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, with Billy Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. – 12:50 p.m. at the New Hope Baptist Church. Burial will be at Roselawn Cemetery.

Mr. Montgomery was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He loved coon hunting and fishing.
