Clayton McHann passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2024, with his family by his side.

Mr. McHann was born on October 21, 1942, in Bradley, Mississippi to George O. (Hamp) and Ethel Juanita Ellington McHann.

A life-long resident of Bradley, Mississippi, Clayton was a devoted father and husband, a beloved member of the Oktibbeha County community, and a friend to many.

A graduate of Sturgis High School in 1961, he attended Itawamba Community College before joining the Mississippi State Highway Department in 1964. After his retirement from state service in 1999, he joined Michael Baker Engineering as a supervising construction manager in Jackson, Mississippi, managing interstate interchange and bridging operations.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Antoinette White McHann, and his son, Clay McHann. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Anne Piercy McHann, his most beloved granddaughter, Madeline Grace McHann, sister Betty Ann McGee, brothers Ronnie McHann and Odie Wayne McHann, and preceded in death by brother Henry B. (Pete) McHann, and sister Nancy McHann.

All services will be held at Friendship Baptist Church, in the Sturgis/Craig Springs community. The visitation is scheduled for 10AM, Saturday, October 19, 2024, with the service immediately following. A graveside ceremony will be held at Craig Springs Cemetery following the service.
