Claudell Burrough, 92, of Athens, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. She was born July 15, 1931 in Limestone County to James David Clem and Mary Addie Sylvester Clem.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Luther; two sons, Gordon Burrough and Danny Burrough; one daughter, Beverly Harrison, one brother and four sisters.

Mrs. Burrough was a member of Tanner Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a caregiver. She retired from the Sheraton Airport where she was a waitress for 27 years.

Survivors include one son, Michael Burrough; four grandchildren, Sabrina Parmley Martindale, Shawn Parmley, David Harrison, Amber Works; eight great grandchildren, Kayla Morgan Parmley, Bryan Alexander Parmley, Olivia Grace Martindale, Gerdi Grace Martindale, Andrew Gordon Boval, Ashton Tyler Parmley, Devin Scott Dameron and Brenton Isaiah Dameron.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
