Claude Thomas “Bugs” Humble – Obituary

Claude Thomas “Bugs” Humble, 84, died Monday, December 4, 2017 at Aberdeen Care Center. Bugs, as he was affectionately known by many, was born in the Nettleton area of Lee County on May 4, 1933. A lifelong Lee Countian, Bugs was born deaf and mute but that didn’t stop him from a lifetime of many friendships and wonderful visits with family and friends. He had his own unique way of communicating. Bugs was a devoted and faithful member of Calvary Assembly in Tupelo and greatly enjoyed attending Church and church functions. He worked many years as custodian at Allied Enterprises. Bugs enjoyed riding the roads in his little truck, fishing and hunting early in life.

A service celebrating his life will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Tupelo Chapel of Holland Funeral Directors with his pastor, Bro. Ben Raper officiating assisted by Bro. Sammy Raper. Private burial will be in the Andrews Chapel Cemetery south of Mooreville. Visitation will be from Noon-service time Wednesday only at Holland-Tupelo Chapel, which is honored to be serving the family.

Bugs leaves his 3 brothers, Henry Humble (Melody) and Frank Humble all of Nettleton and Nathaniel Humble (Cathy) of Crossville, Tennessee. A sister, Mary Humble McDaniel of Memphis. His nieces and nephews which he considered to be his own children and a large circle of friends everywhere.

Pallbearers will be Stevie, Ty, Tyler, Stanley and Tim Humble.
