Claude Elliston Yager – Obituary

A Celebration of Life Service for Claude Elliston Yager, 57 of Corinth, MS, will be Sunday, February 11, 2018 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Charlie Browning and Bro. Tim Edwards officiating. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Sunday, February 11, 2018 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home. Mr. Yager passed away Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. He was born February 1, 1961 in Bolivar, TN to Claude Henry Yager, Jr. and Ilene Nelson Yager. Mr. Yager was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. He was employed for 33 years as Assistant Manager at Gardners Super Market. He loved Ole Miss football, playing fantasy football, fishing and spending time with his family. His favorite time of year was Christmas. Elliston is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jil Wilson Yager of Corinth, MS; his daughter, Ellice Yager of Corinth, MS; his parents, Claude Yager, Jr. and Ilene Nelson Yager of Corinth, MS; his brothers, Miles Yager of Corinth, MS and John Yager of Corinth, MS; his sister, Cindy Arnold and husband Scotty of Iuka, MS; lifelong friend, James Clarin of Searcy, Ark; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Deric Smith, John Yager, Miles Yager, Danny Wilbanks, John Huff and Henry Rinehart. Honorary Pallbearers will be Haden Holley, James Clarin, Mark Gardner and employees of Gardners Supermarket. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Claude Elliston Yager.
