Join us at Florence-Lauderdale Public Library for a Q&A with writer Clark Perry. Clark, who grew up in the Shoals, writes for the Syfy channel’s series Defiance and will visit the library to talk about the show and his experiences as a TV writer. This event will be a great opportunity for writers, as well as fans of TV or sci-fi, to learn more about what it’s like to work behind-the-scenes on a popular science fiction show.Defiance debuted in 2013 and received attention for its unusual format: it is both a television show and an online game. The series’ cast includes Grant Bowler and Julie Benz. The second season is scheduled to premiere in summer of 2014.
