On 20 December, 2022, Clark Odell Daniel, age 86, peacefully passed at his home in Fayetteville, Alabama.
Mr Daniel was born in Birmingham, Alabama on July 23, 1936. He attended Sylacauga High School and graduated Auburn University with a Baccalaureate Degree in Building Construction.
Clark enjoyed a long and distinguished career as an construction and design engineer specializing in sophisticated, secure concrete structures.. His more notable engineering projects include the Peach Tree Center, Atlanta, Georgia, The Embarcadero Center, San Francisco, California and the Trident Submarine Nuclear Facility, St Johns, Georgia. Later in his 35 year career, his was selected as the principal engineer for the design and construction of United States embassies throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East.
In 2005 Mr Daniel retired, returned home and successfully owned and operated Cedar Creek Farm in Fayetteville. Clark was widely known for his high quality hay and cattle production. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Clark was a son, husband, father and grandfather who is survived by his daughter Lauren Daniel Eszes, his son Clark Odell Daniel, Jr, and three grandsons, Jaxon, Trip and Sawyer Daniel.
Clark will be interred at Evergreen Cemetery where he will join his parents, M.O. and Annie Daniel, and his wife Roberta who preceded him in death.
A memorial service for family and friends is planned.
