Clarification regarding college and university COVID-19 testing

It  should be emphasized that not all Alabama colleges and universities require students to be tested for COVID-19 prior to campus arrival.

GuideSafe™ Entry Testing (formerly Stay Safe Together™ Testing) is providing free COVID-19 testing for students at Alabama’s colleges and universities.


COVID-19 testing is required by many public or private four-year colleges in the state of Alabama and for two-year college students who reside on campus.


For other schools, COVID-19 testing is strongly encouraged but not required.  Specific testing protocols are directed by each campus.
