Clarence “Pop” Russell Reed, 67, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at his home. He was born February 4, 1955, in St. Louis, Missouri, to James and Helen Harbin Reed. He was a self-employed carpenter before becoming disabled. He enjoyed wood working, catfishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Friday, December 9, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie.
Survivors include two sons, Rocky Reed (Dena) of Golden and Clarence Russell Reed, Jr. of Mooreville; five sisters, Velma Stanford, Martha Dickerson, Tammy Reed, Liz Cockrell, and Lala Floyd; nine grandchildren, Courtney Reed, Dillon Reed, Michael Reed, William Pettigo Dalton Pettigo, Summer Pettigo, Sierra Westmoreland, Michael George, and Shawn George; 5 great grandchildren; the mother of his children and best friend, Patricia Chambers of Mooreville.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Crystal Reed; four brothers, Arlie Reed, Norman Reed, Roy Allen Reed, and Bill Hood; and his parents.
Visitation will be Friday from noon until service time at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
