Clarence Dee George, 88, of Middleton, TN
Mr. George passed away Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
A native of Booneville, MS, he was the son of the late Rufus and Ila Chaffin George. He grew up in the Corinth, MS area where he graduated high school. On June 17, 1944, he married his wife, Inez. Mrs. George passed away May 4, 2014. Mr. George was retired plant foreman at TGT in Middleton where he worked for 30 years. A long-time member of the Middleton Church of Christ, he also was a former deacon there. He was a US Marines veteran having served during World War II. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golf, fishing and making “the best” homemade ice cream.
Survivors include 3 daughters, Cheryl (Danny) Wardlow of Counce, TN; Karen Howard of Panama City Beach, FL and Vicky Routh of Bolivar, MO; his son, David (Carolyn) George of Bolivar, TN; his sister, Olene (Hobart) Bingham of Corinth, MS, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mavene Carmack.
