Clarence “Billy” A. Prince, 82, of Leighton, AL passed away on October 2, 2024. Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with a service to follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel. Mark Mayfield will be officiating. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
He was a member of Leighton First Baptist. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Helen Hoskins Prince; wife, JoAnn Prince; brothers, Robert and Jerry Prince; sisters, Barbara Swinney and Betty Butts brother-in-law, Sammy Collins.
He is survived by his daughters, Sherri Prince Peebles and Dawn Prince Quillen; son, Chris Prince; brothers, Harry, Raymond, and Leon Prince; grandchildren, Nikki Peebles Thompson (Stephen), Chad Peebles (Alexandra), Jaidyn Quillen Taylor (Craig), Avery Quillen, and Sylas Quillen; great grandchildren, Laykin Riley, Lawson Thompson, Bodhi Peebles, and Ruby Taylor.
Pallbearers will be Sylas Quillen, Chad Peebles, Craig Taylor, Stephen Thompson, and Lawson Thompson.
He was such a giving man. He gave to a lot of Charities. Especially St. Jude.
In lieu of flowers, make donations to St. Jude.
