Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Lakeside United Methodist Church (3738 Merdian Street N, Huntsville, AL 35811) with Reverend Percy L. Nolan, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mrs. Thornton will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.
The Thornton family will receive guests from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Royal Chapel of Memories. The Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony for Mrs. Thornton will be at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at the Royal Chapel of Memories.
Public viewing will be held from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 7, 2024 and 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 8, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
