Clara Ruth Nard West, age 66, of Florence died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on January 14, 2024. Visitation will be Saturday, January 20 at Williams Funeral Home in Florence from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm with funeral starting at 1:00 pm in the chapel. Dennis Oakley and Jerry Campbell will be officiating, and burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Ruby Nard; siblings, J.C., W.D., Kenneth and James Nard, Mary Sue Holt, Judy Young, and Robert Nard.
Clara is survived by her husband, Larry West; children, Tim West (Amanda), Kristy Miller (Jason); brother, Aaron Nard (Rhonda); and sister, Kathy Stutts (Grady). Additional survivors include grandchildren, Taylor and Grace West, Brieana Baker and Brooklyn Miller; great-grandson, Dawson West.
Clara was a member of Bethel Berry Church of Christ. She loved camping, fishing, watching Alabama football, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers are Keith West, Andy Oakley, Harley Oakley, Jackie West, Phillip West, and Randy West.
