Clara Morris, age 95, of Decatur, Al (formerly Tuscaloosa), passed away on October 22, 2022, at Summerford Health and Rehab in Falkville, AL. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Headley officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Walter Greene and her second husband Duke Morris, her stepdaughter Joan Baxley and her spouse Wade, her parents, and all her brothers, and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Charlotte Collins (Jim) and stepson Neal Morris (Bonne), 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Clara lived most of her life in Tuscaloosa but moved 7 years ago to assisted living in Decatur near her daughter. She and her family were long-time members of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa. She loved the fellowship and friendships in the church and her family, and these were of tremendous value to her as she went thru the challenges of life. She was known for country cooking and sharing recipes and had a very sweet and caring spirit.
