Clara Eva Smith, age 86, of Muscle Shoals, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013. A graveside service will be held Friday at noon at Shady Grove Cemetery with Bobby Poss officiating.
Mrs. Smith was a long-time resident of the Shoals. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Haleyville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Benny Ray Smith, of Tuscumbia, and James Cecil Smith, of Muscle Shoals; daughter, Clara Virginia Cox and husband, Bunky, of Muscle Shoals; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Her grandsons and nephews will be pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .
