Clara Ann Willis Clara Ann Willis, 72, of Huntsville peacefully passed away on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Huntsville Hospital with her family and friends by her side. She is preceded in death by her parents Laster L Willis and Charlsie Wilkerson Willis, niece Donna Marie Allison, grandparents Clara Arnold and William Howard Wilkerson, Leora Lasater and Thomas Anderson Willis, Aunts Kate Willis Knox (Knoxie), Dorothy Willis Barth (Clinton), Polly Wilkerson Kirk (Charlie), Uncles J. B. BeBe Willis (Lillian) Everett Willis, Howard Wilkerson (Mildred) Newel Wilkerson (Lucy), Bob Wilkerson (Gladis).
Clara is survived by her sisters, Dottie Willis McCallie (Doug), Mary Laster Willis Allison (Don), her sweet dog Zoey, best friend Gail Tipps, Nieces and Nephews, Kim Allison Moody (Ron), Valarie McCallie Day, Amanda Allison Carlisle (Chris) Wade McCallie (Yvette) Great nieces and nephews Brian Moody, Allison Kate Moody Rexrode (Cody), Kyle Edwards (Hannah), Katie Edwards, Brandon Carlisle (Tori), Maddie McCallie , Colin McCallie, Ezra Charles Edwards, Ella Frances Edwards, and Oliver Howard Edwards and many friends
Clara was born April 8, 1951, in Chattanooga TN and graduated from Stevenson High School in 1969 and Jacksonville State University in 1973. She was a member of the Stevenson Cumberland Presbyterian Church
After graduation, Clara began her career as a special education teacher in the Madison County school system and finished by working in sales at Atco International for over forty years.
Clara Ann was lovingly known as Belle or CJ by her friends and family.
She loved her friends and family and devoted her life to making a difference in the lives of others. Clara had a love of animals and tried to help lost animals reunite with their families.
Clara will be remembered for her loving and caring spirit. She was a very generous person who touched many people and her absence will leave a huge void in our lives. She is an example of a life well lived and she will be missed by all. We will remember Clara as a wonderful aunt, sister, and friend to many generations.
Visitation is scheduled at Rudder Funeral Home of Stevenson, on Sunday August 13th from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
