FLORENCE-The City of Florence is excited to announce the launch of its newly redesigned website, which enhances functionality and provides access to city services and resources. The updated platform features customized landing pages for City Departments, including Utilities, Parks & Recreations, Public Works, Business, Animal Services, Fire and Rescue, Police, Emergency Management (EMA), and others.

A feature of the new platform is an interactive Report an Issue option, which allows citizens to easily submit concerns such as potholes, overgrown grass, dead animals and more directly to the appropriate department. Additionally, many online forms are available with email submission, providing quick access to services like permits, garbage service requests, business license applications, and more.

The website features 360-degree virtual tours of city facilities and parks, making it easier than ever to explore Florence’s amenities. Users can also browse adoptable pets on the Animal Services page or stay updated on local events through the Mayor’s Newsletter and social media, promoting community engagement.

“This website is a living platform designed to grow and evolve with the needs of our community,” said Mayor Andy Betterton. “We’re committed to continuously improving the public’s experience with the city and value the feedback that helps us better serve residents and businesses.”

Jack Dressler, Information Technology Director, added, “When we chose to redesign the city’s website, our priority was to enhance functionality and provide essential resources while capturing the convenience and community spirit of a vibrant city.”

We welcome feedback and suggestions for improvement to ensure it serves residents effectively. Feedback can be submitted to website@florenceal.org. For more information, visit www.florenceal.org.
